Surprise: Fuji XF 16mm F1.4 WR will be announced within 2-3 days!


Fujirumors reports that the new Fujinon XF16mm F1.4 R WR will be announced this week.



"It will weigh 375g, have a filter size of 67mm, a Focus range from 0.15m to ∞ , 13 elements 11 groups, 9 (rounded diaphragm opening) 1/3EV (22 steps)."

Micro Four Thirds news: New GH4 firmware update and two new cameras from Blackmagic.


We have a couple of MFT news coming from the NAB show:


Blackmagic announced two new MFT cameras. The Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera and the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K.


Panasonic will release a new firmware for the GH4 by end of this month. It adds in camera support for anamorphic shooting, improved HDMi out and V-LOG.

Blackmagic will announce an amazing small Micro Cinema Micro Four Thirds camera today!


Matthew Allard and Eric Naso posted those pictures of the new Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera that will be announced today at Las Vegas NAB show. It's a Micro Four Thirds 4K camera with 13 stops of dynamic range and RAW recording.


Quite an amazing toy! Price and other specs are yet unknown but will be unveiled at 9.30am Las Vegas time!

Nikon says they will not make bigger sensor mirrorless cameras.


If you were hoping to get an APS-C or even FF mirrorless camera from Nikon you will have to digest that. In an interview at Dpreview Nikon said:



We still believe that Nikon 1 has room for further evolution. This is the area we want to put effort in to, rather than making bigger sensor mirrorless cameras.


We have two different categories: the D-line and the 1-series, and with these lineups, we believe we’ll meet all the needs of customers.
